Song of the Day: July 16, 2016 - "Dump The Guy ASAP" by Lisa LeBlanc
I'm willing to bet that when you read this, you probably thought of at least one person you considered forwarding this song to. Even before you had a listen.
"Sometimes your friends date losers. I myself have dated losers. This is a solidarity tune," explains Lisa LeBlanc about her tropical-sounding "Dump the Guy ASAP". The song is the first single off her upcoming album which is due out September 30th via Bonsound.
And if you're heading to the Vancouver Folk Music Festival today or tomorrow (or... yesterday, somehow) you can catch her in a few workshops, or on one of the evening stages Sunday. Check out the full schedule here.
3am Playlist #41 - Vancouver Folk Music Festival 2016 Preview
Tomorrow marks the first day of the 39th annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival in Jericho Beach Park!
The lineup this year includes acts from Vancouver, Canada, and around the globe, so I've narrowed down a few of them into a preview playlist for you.
Check out some of the artists below, and plan your days accordingly, as there are tons of workshops and concerts on the smaller stages, and big acts on the main stage at night.
3am Playlist #4: Pemby Fest FOMO
This list might get you pumped up for this weekend in beautiful Pemberton, BC or it might fill you with FOMO/ROMO while you hang out in Vancouver (that is, unless you're at Folk Fest!).
What I can guarantee is that it's full of some really great CanCon that will be gracing the stages of the Pemberton Music Festival, and a majority of them will get you dancing.
Keep an eye out on both MY instagram (@christine__mcavoy) and the @3amRevelations insta for photos and videos all weekend long!

Song Of The Day: June 26, 2015 - "Yodelady" Old Man Luedecke
I couldn't NOT post a song that had as punny a line as "Yodelady of my dreams."!
Old Man Luedecke is rolling into the Vancouver Folk Music Festival in July (18-19), a week before he releases his new record "Domestic Eccentric". He's been performing the new single "Yodelady" live for quite a while now, but fans can finally enjoy the recorded version.
Take a listen below, it's Banjo O'Clock!
