3am Playlist #42 - EEK! It's Halloween 2016!

BOO! Happy almost-Halloween!

While the day-of doesn't really happen until Monday, the parties are starting this weekend. To get you in the mood we have a big mix of some of our favourite (and MOSTLY Canadian) songs that would fit right into an All Hallows Eve' playlist. Some hard rock, some spooky music videos, and a few playful songs, including my favourite jazz song about a pumpkin patch.

Are there any good ones that we missed? Let us know in the comments below.

3am Playlist #40 - Khatsahlano 2016 Preview

Two more sleeps until Khatsahlano!
Everyone do the opposite of a rain dance. How about a: warm-but-overcast-day dance because every year it seems to be amazingly sunny and hot, but at this point I'll take a happy medium between the two!

In either case, there is going to be some amazing live music, from some local and Canadian musicians, and we've got a bit of a preview in today's playlist above.

The schedule is below, so give it a look and make some hard decisions because Burrard and Macdonald are far apart and there are awesome musicians at either end!

3am Playlist #39 - Tall Tree Music Festival Playlist

Tall Tree Music Festival is upon us once again - June 30 to July 3rd.

Taking place on top of Browns Mountain, in beautiful Port Renfrew, the 3 days of shows will feature tons of BC and Canadian musical acts.

We've put together a preview playlist for those heading over today, and those missing out. Check it out above!

3am Playlist #38: NXNE 2016 Preview

I (Christine) am heading into Toronto once again for the annual NXNE Festival! Lots of Canadian bands performing this year (including a few missing from this preview playlist above) but I'm really excited for the Saturday at the Port Lands.

It's been forever since I've seen Land Of Talk, I'm excited to see HIGHS live again so soon, and tons of Vancouver bands will be performing for the masses (The Zolas, Dan Mangan, Mother Mother).

Over in Club Land, east coaster Adam Baldwin will be playing his solo work (hopefully lots of the new stuff too), Shred Kelly is going to be lighting up the Horseshoe with their stoke folk on Friday, and on Saturday, the supremely talented Kandle will be on the same stage.

Have a listen above to the play list and let us know if you're going to be attending/what you're looking forward to! Full schedule is up here, and be sure to check our instagram & twitter for coverage!
