Song of the Day: April 16, 2017 - "Young Leo" by Mise en Scene

Last week it was announced that Winnipeg band Mise en Scene signed with Light Organ Records and performed at a secret show at the Fox Cabaret (as well as opening for The Zolas at the Railway re-launch).

Their first single, "Young Leo", from their upcoming album Still Life On Fire (June 30), is out now. Lead singer Stefanie Blondal Johnson's voice is a powerful one and their live show was definitely mezmerizing. Give it a listen below...

Song of the Day: March 04, 2017 - "Chloe" by Matt and Sam's Brother

A little while ago we heard the first single from Matt and Sam's Brother, the solo project of JPNSGRLS Charlie Kerr. Now we all get another taste of the album -- titled My Brain Hurts A Lot and out April 21, 2017 on Light Organ Records -- with "Chloe".

Toned way down from the frantic rock of JPNSGRLS, "Chloe" is a slower and a bit of a heartwrenching tune. Check it out below! 

Song(s) of the Day: December 08, 2016 - The Railtown Sessions by Sarah Jane Scouten, Rob Butterfield, Johnny 99, and Debra-Jean Creelman

Over the last few months, Light Organ Records has been hosting the Railtown Sessions, a series of short shows streamed from their HQ, combined with an EP from each of the four artists. 

Tomorrow night is the culmination of this, with Sarah Jane Scouten, Rob Butterfield, Johnny 99, and Debra-Jean Creelman coming together at the Fox Cabaret for a show.

Song(s) of the Day: November 12, 2016 - Debra Jean Creelman's Railtown Session

The last of the Railtown Sessions was streamed last night, this time featuring Debra-Jean Creelman.

You can hear the 4 track EP below now, and be sure to mark December 9th in your calendars for the live finale. Taking place at the Fox Cabaret, you can hear tunes from DJ, as well as other Railtown Session artists: Johnny 99, Rob Butterfield, and Sarah Jane Scouten.

The vinyl will also be released that night, so it's sure to be a good evening!

Song of the Day: October 11, 2016 - "Old Cadogan Hotel" by Adrian Glynn

It's been a while since we've heard new music from Adrian Glynn. Since his last album, you may have seen him on TV (Arrow, Supernatural) and movies (a little film called The Revenant).

"Old Cadogan Hotel" is the first single off his upcoming album morelightthannolight coming out this Friday on Light Organ. You can also catch him live at The Emerald on the 27th of this month for his album release show. 

Song of the Day: February 15, 2016 - "Antony" by Twin River

With their second album not arriving until later this year, Twin River decided to give us a preview with a 7-inch with two singles out March 4th.

The first single "Antony" is out now (see below) and the second single will the be song "I Don't Want To Be Alone".
