Song of the Day: November 16, 2017 - "I Don't Want To Lose You" by Luca Fogale

November 16, 2017 by Christine McAvoy in Song Of The Day

Luca Fogale has one of my favourite voices, and we recently got a new single from him titled "I Don't Want To Lose You" - and last week a video was released as well... you can check it out below.

Luca says the song is "about love, doubt, and the things that fall in between", which I'm sure many people can relate to. Enjoy!

Song of the Day: November 15, 2017 - "Always Be My Baby" by Mathew V

November 15, 2017 by Christine McAvoy in Song Of The Day

I just got back from a nice sunny destination only to find Vancouver wet and windy...I looked pretty much like Mathew V does up there when staring out the plane window.

That said, cozy sweater and blanket on, his cover of Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby" was just what I needed today (esp. when a Wednesday feels like a Monday!).

Have a listen below!

Song of the Day: November 09, 2017 - "Elusive Dream" by Young Galaxy

November 09, 2017 by Kirk Hamilton in Song Of The Day

A few months back we heard a one-off single from Young Galaxy called "Stay For Real" which was a reaction to everything going on in the world at the time.

Well, considering the world has clearly got much more sane and normal since then, their latest single reflects that.

The band says "'Elusive Dream'was written this summer during this ongoing period of social and political tension in the world. The song addresses the fact that we feel human existence is the craziest, most psychedelic thing there is, and yet it feels like we’re prone to squandering it all. We are hopeful, ready to fight for our beliefs and on behalf of those who have trouble fighting for themselves. Sometimes however, we just want to take a moment to reflect, to feel the wonder and the sadness of it all at the same time. This song is about those feelings."

The song also features the band back down to the original duo of Catherine McCandless and Stephen Ramsay, so check it out (with the former's haunting vocals) below!

No word yet on the new album, so I guess we'll have to be patient still!
