Why? The inaugural Westward Festival takes over Vancouver this weekend. Hannah Georgas! Dear Rouge! A Tribe Called Red! Youngblood! Windmills! Loads more in a bunch of different venues!

Who? Rifflandia Music Festival
Where? Victoria, BC
When? Thursday September 14th to Sunday September 17th
Why? This marks the 10th year of Riff Fest, and once again the lineup is stacked. Moby, A Tribe Called Red, July Talk, Dear Rouge, Yukon Blonde, Said The Whale, Hannah Georgas, and so many more to see at the Athletic Field and in the clubs at night!

Where? Malkin Bowl
When? Saturday September 16th
Why? It's fricking July Talk at the fricking Malkin Bowl, with The fricking Zolas! How fricking rad is that?!

Why? Really sad I am not going to be in Vancouver for this; Chersea's first show in a while, headlining the Biltmore, is bound to be a good one. Go for me and tell me how good it was.

Why? The sting of not going to Rifflandia this weekend is softened by the fact that the #1 band I was going to see will be playing a show of their very own at the Fox Cabaret on Saturday. If you, like me, are not going over to the island, the only acceptable course of action is to                                                                      see The Dears.
