Why? Okay. Let’s try this again. Their show last month was rescheduled at the last minute, so hopefully this time when I say “I never thought I would be able to see them live again” I’ll actually be able to see them live again…

Who? Carmanah
Where? Biltmore Cabaret
When? Friday, May 12 (tonight!)
Why? Carmanah brings their west coast soul to the Biltmore, for their last show in Vancouver (and penultimate show as a band)

Where? Multiple venues
When? Feb 16 through 25
Why? The annual comedy festival kicked off yesterday and runs through next week, featuring dozens of shows with comedians, podcasts, drag, and more. I’ve got an eye on Adam Pally (tonight), Jack Whitehall, and Patton Oswalt (both next weekend).

Who? Bedouin Soundclash
Where? Commodore Ballroom
When? Saturday Feb 18th
Why? First of all, it’s an early show and is going to be done by 9:30! (Benny Benassi is the late show.) But also Bedouin is celebrating the release of new music, and Carmanah is opening. Excellent Saturday.

Why? Close Talker is taking their live show to a whole other level with a full immersion experience with headphone. This is a ambitious one, and worth checking out!

Why? Carmanah is heading over from the island to have a rockin’ good time at the Fox Cabaret. Bring your dancing shoes.

Where? Storm Crow Tavern AND Alehouse
When? Tues, Aug 6 (Tavern) and Weds, Aug 7 (Alehouse)
Why? Friends-of-the-blog Leigh and Stu usually host the bi-monthly Nerdin’ Trivia at both Storm Crow locations, but this week Leigh is off, so guess who is filling in?? (It’s Kirk. Kirk is filling in.)
