3am Playlist #28: New Year, New You aka Get Your Shit Together

January 07, 2016 by Christine McAvoy in 3am Playlist

New Years Resolutions usually include getting in shape, so this week's playlist is one you can work out to.

Canadian indie from across the country, defunct bands, new music, old music, we've got it all, but the main this is to "Keep Fit & Have Fun".
[When "Closer" by Tegan & Sara came out, I thought it sounded like it would fit with a Body Break commercial, and this the video below was born.]

Whatever your goals, I hope you reach them, and maybe discover your new favourite work-out song in the process, but as The Wet Secrets say: Get Your Shit Together!

January 07, 2016 by Kirk Hamilton in Song Of The Day

Take a ride with Miss Quincy in the brand new video for "Damn You". Directed by Luvia Petersen (Liber8 member Garza on TV's Continuum), the video follows Jody "Miss Quincy" Peck as a cab driver through a rainy night of good love, bad love, whiskey, scandal, and heartbreak.

And, of course, come see the ultimate "East Van badass babe revue" tonight at the Cobalt with Miss Quincy & The Showdown and Cobra Ramone and SAVVIE.
