Song Of The Day: July 06, 2015 - "Spit You Out" METZ
Need something to wake you up this Monday morning?
How about "Spit You Out" by METZ, which comes off of their second album (appropriately titled "II").
The band's album is currently nominated on the Long List for the 2015 Polaris Music Prize and they will be heading into Vancouver on August 3rd at the Rickshaw Theatre.

Song Of The Day: July 04, 2015 - "Working For The Government" A Tribe Called Red (Buffy Sainte-Marie Mix)
A Tribe Called Red have put out a cover/remix of Buffy Sainte-Marie's "Working For The Government". The song is a perfect fit for the group and I can picture myself driving down a long BC highway on a summer day with this song pumping in the speakers.
Excellent summer jam.

Song Of The Day: July 03, 2015 - "Counting The Days" Sam Roberts Band
Just got my Pemberton Music Festival media approval and have been looking through the lineup again getting excited to head up there and see some great music.
I JUST saw Sam Roberts at NXNE in Toronto performing a few of his songs for the Paper Bag 100 Records party, and was once again reminded what a great showman he is.
"Counting The Days" is off of his new EP of the same name (purchase here) and a trippy new video was just released for the single. Hear the song, and watch the video below.

Song Of The Day: June 26, 2015 - "Yodelady" Old Man Luedecke
I couldn't NOT post a song that had as punny a line as "Yodelady of my dreams."!
Old Man Luedecke is rolling into the Vancouver Folk Music Festival in July (18-19), a week before he releases his new record "Domestic Eccentric". He's been performing the new single "Yodelady" live for quite a while now, but fans can finally enjoy the recorded version.

Rah Rah has released their second single, "Chip Off The Heart", of their upcoming album Vessels and with it comes a new video.
The visuals in the video (embedded below) are stunning, as is the upbeat and cosmic vibe of the song.
