Weekly Photo Roundup - June 01, 2016 ft. Leisure Club, Hawking, Van Damsel

Weekly Photo Roundup for the week preceding June 01, 2016

Another excellent show from Leisure Club (I've realized I have been to all of their Vancouver shows so far!), and it was so good to see Van Damsel in Vancouver again! They performed their singles and material from their new album, and as you see in the photos above, it got a little sweaty in the Media Club.

Come back soon boys!

Weekly Photo Roundup for the week preceding May 18, 2016

The Pack A.D. put on a hell of a show this past weekend! I caught the Friday show, and I hope the Thursday one was just as crazy - we had a mosh pit going on Friday!

The new album, Positive Thinking, from the band comes out officially on August 12 - you can preorder it here.

Weekly Photo Roundup for the week preceding May 11, 2016

Hope you got the chance to check out the sold out evening with Said The Whale this past week. We laughed, we cried, we sang along. Check out Kirk's review for a full recap.

Also, big thanks to Converse and the Rubber Tracks program for the free Leisure Club show at El Kartel. If you missed it, you can see them again on May 28th at the Media Club with Van Damsel.

Little bit of a delay this week with my lack of internet, but the photos!...they have arrived!

First set is from the Jason Collett show featuring his backing band of Zeus (read Kirk's review here) with Kalle Mattson opening.
And the second was from Aidan Knight's return to Vancouver at the Biltmore last week, with Laura Sauvage opening (you can read Kirk's review of that too, here).

Weekly Photo Roundup - April 20, 2016 ft. Catlow, Modern Space, The Provincial Archive

Weekly Photo Roundup for the week preceding April 20, 2016

Christine: Well, I wish that this post also featured photos from Record Store Day 2016 & Lovecoast show, but alas, I seemed to have lost a card of mine somewhere at Caprice Nightclub during the Beer Wars event. But there are a few pics and videos from the day up on instagram - click here to see them and give us a follow!

Good news is that I DO have photos from the Modern Space show at the Cobalt last week with Catlow. And you can check them out above. I'm still humming this earworm.

Jess: Friday night at the Biltmore, Jess checked out Edmonton outfit The Provincial Archive for some refreshingly solid, no frills indie rock. If you haven't yet, check out their latest EP (self-titled) on Bandcamp.
