Christine: I couldn't have asked for two better shows leading up to my birthday. Bands from out of town, bands from Vancouver, great music and people. Two very enjoyable nights of songs filled the Imperial and the Vogue.

Weekly Photo Roundup - October 28, 2015 ft. Daniel Romano, Ark & Ocean, BESTiE, Little India, Donovan Woods, Bros Landreth & Wooden Horsemen

The last of the Peak Performance Project related charity showcases were this past week, with Little India raising and impressive amount of money ($10,000!) for the MealShare program. They along with Ark & Ocean and BESTiE performed at the Portside Pub to a packed house.

Speaking of packed house, the Fox Cabaret was nice and toasty and filled to the brim with Vancouverites in their best country outfits for Daniel Romano.

Jess checked out Donovan Woods as he came out west with Bros Landreth at the Biltmore on Thursday. The sweet chemistry of brothers who tour all the time and sound like a pocket-sized gospel choir was incredible, definitely see them whenever/wherever/however possible. 

Friday night in a living-room sized spot in Chinatown, Wooden Horsemen played a fundraiser for their new album, with loads of new music and classic favourites. Keep an eye and ear out for new music coming from them in January!

Much more coming up this week including THEN & NOW, which is TONIGHT at the Wise Hall (coincidentally featuring Little India)! Come and support an awesome cause: Megaphone Magazine.

Weekly Photo Roundup - October 21, 2015 ft. Fortunate Ones, Del Barber, Windmills, Van Damsel, JP Maurice, Steel Audrey Album Release

This was a busy week filled with quite a lot of country music, and was also the very last BC Peak Performance Project showcase, this one featuring Windmills, Van Damsel, and JP Maurice! As we've lamented on 3am Revelations before, and to prove that it was a true Peak party, Christine and Jess documented it thoroughly with photos.

Also this week, Winnipeg's Del Barber came through town (on his birthday no less), with Fortunate Ones, at the Fox Cabaret, and the posthumous release of Steel Audrey's album went down at St James Hall, with some of Vancouver's best there to perform his songs.

Between the last Peak show, and the powerful night at St James, this was me (Christine) most of the week:

Another big cover night at the Biltmore, this time for JP Maurice's charity show- "Cover Up For The Planet". For a full rundown, and more photos, check out our review HERE.

Also caught part of the CBC Green Tracks finale at the Media Club, specifically Hey Ocean!'s set, which was nice as they haven't played a full band set in about a year! Chersea also rocked Fortune Sound Club for the third Peak Performance Project showcase of the year.
